We had a wonderful week at camp even though we experienced quite a bit of rain! Here are some updates from the week:
Tuesday, July 28th:
We have been having a great time! In spite of lots and lots of rain yesterday, the girls have been having a blast!. We went swimming yesterday despite a few sprinkles. In the afternoon we had our human rodeo under the horse pavillion as it poured down rain outside. Our transportation to and from the pavillion was inside a horse trailer– a first for girls camp. Your campers will have some fun stories to tell. We enjoyed thick slices of watermelon and the camels enjoyed eating the rinds.
After the rain last night we woke up to sunshine today. The girls have been enjoying horseback riding, crafts and dance class. We just finished lunch and the girls are in their cabins having rest time.
Everyone is healthy and having fun. Hope to have more updates to follow.
Wednesday, July 29th:
Girls having a great day having fun on the lake in their paddle boats and canoes. The Bible studies are going well. Hope to have more feedback from the counselors on the girls bible study later in the week.
We had our “water olympics” at the pool in the afternoon that were great fun as well as a “cool down” after a warm day. After dinner we went to the Town Hall for songs and announcements. Congratulations to the 5th graders for winning 1st Place for the Clean Cabin Award and to the 1st graders winning 2nd Place. Way to go girls! I’m sure they’ll be showing off those “house cleaning” skills to their parents when they return home! 
Back at the cabins for “Story Time” with the book the counselors are reading to the girls and then hopefully, off to sleep.
The rest of the week went very well and we gained about 13 new sisters in Christ (that we know of)! God is so good!
